Full question: The information watchdog has recently ordered that the Scottish Government should release information over whether it has received legal advice on if an Independent Scotland would become a member of the European Union. Alex Salmond however has argued that revealing if such advice exists would be against the public interest as it would compromise the government’s ability to formulate policies. Do you think that the Scottish Government should release information over whether it has received legal advice on if an Independent Scotland would become a member of the European Union or should it keep this confidential?
