From next year decisions about the level of income tax in Scotland will partly be made by the Scottish Government. Which comes closest to your view about what should it do? Increase the basic rate of income tax in order to spend more on services such as hospitals and schools. Keep the basic rate of income tax the same and spending on services such as hospitals and schools the same as they are now. Reduce the basic rate of income tax and spend less on services such as hospitals and schools.
